Learning is hands-on at CAB!

Today I’m feeling blessed to work at a school where we can have an outdoor enrichment day just because it’s beautiful and you can learn anywhere. I’m blessed because I hear students talking about Heaven and God when they don’t even know I’m listening and that’s okay at our school; we encourage it. I’m especially blessed because I get to watch, first-hand, my own children develop and grow and turn into beautiful young ladies. This job is exhausting, overwhelming and stressful, but completely and totally worth it!

Living and Learning — A Hand's-On Christian Education

What a great beginning to the school year we are having. It is so exciting to finally see this school in action. The students are enjoying CAB so much and regularly comment on how much they prefer the academic environment at CAB. Recently, we took our first field trip to Shaker Village. We toured the grounds, learned about gardening, fed some pigs, and capped the day off with a steamboat ride down the Kentucky River. We also toured the Compassion Experience where our students walked in the shoes of a boy who grew up in an impoverished area of Africa and had to overcome great adversity. There is no better way to learn and grow than to have hands-on experiences. Your child can be a part of this too.

Open Enrollment Begins October 2016

We are opening enrollment for 12 students ages 3 - 5 for January of 2017. We will be offering full-day and half-day options. We are also preparing to enroll students for the 2017-2018 school year for all grades. We have a great program and would love for your family to be a part of it. If you are interested in enrolling your child in CAB in January or for the 2017-2018 school year, please contact the school for more information or visit our Enrollment Page.

Successful 1st Annual Golf Scramble & Silent Auction

Our first annual golf scramble was a success! Thank you to everyone who signed up to play golf, donated items for the silent auction or helped during the event. A very special thank you to Alex and Kristen Butt for helping to organize the entire event. We were blessed enough to have the weather hold out long enough for most teams to finish all 18 holes. The day capped off with a silent auction and barbecue lunch. Thanks to the efforts of the Butt family, all volunteers, sponsors and donors, CAB was able to raise over $4,000 that day. We are extremely grateful for everyone who made this possible. If you were not able to be a part of the golf scramble this year, please plan on participating next year. We hope to have double the amount of teams play next time. This will be a fun event to look forward to each year.

Sycamore Update

A warm thank you to all who have generously donated funds to help purchase the Sycamore Education School Management System. The goal was $2,000 and we have raised $1,600. It is not too late to help us reach our goal. Please send donations to 549 Parkside Drive, Lexington, KY 40505. Please note “Sycamore” in the memo line. Thanks!
